Cheyanne and I really wanted to get a vacuum cleaner, because our carpet was getting pretty gross. But, since we’re getting married in a few months, we thought we could hold out, and get one as a wedding gift.
Time passed, and our carpet got dirtier. We then figured out the only way we could justify our getting a vacuum, and that was to get a cat. We would have to vacuum after it, so neither of us died of allergies. Makes sense, right? We went to the local animal shelter and looked around for the cutest cat. We saw a little gray and white cat snuggled up with another little kitten, that we both thought was pretty cute, but we weren’t sold because she was sleeping the whole time. I really wanted to see some personality before we picked out something that was going to be living with us for the next 15 years or so.. I started bugging her a little, and she poked her head up, then went back to bed. I blew gently into her ear to see if I could get to her move around, and in one motion, flipped over her friend, rolled onto her back, and stuck her arms and legs straight in the air, and proceeded to fall back asleep. It was a done deal.

So we couldn’t take her home until the next day because she had to get fixed. In the meantime we thought of possible names. It came almost immediately. We only really got a cat because we wanted an excuse to get a vacuum, so the name seemed simple.
